
On the Day of Resurrection, my nation will come to it (and drink from it). ‘It is a river in Paradise which my Lord ‘Azza Wa-Jall (to Him belongs Might and Majesty) gave to me. When he completed it, he said, ‘Do you know what Al-Khauthar is?’ The Companions said, ‘Allah and His Messenger know best.’ He said, ‘Indeed, just now, a Surah (Chapter from the Quran) was revealed to me.’ And he recited: “Verily, We have granted you (0 Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam Al-Kauthar (a river in Paradise)'” Either he said or they said to him, ‘Why did you laugh?’ Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam said, The word kawthar in Arabic refers to great abundance.Īnas ibn Maalik Radiallahu Anhu said, “Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam slept lightly, and then he raised his head, smiling. (Bukhari and Muslim)Īl Kauthar is a river in paradise, which the Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam was given. When I recognize them, they will quiver before me (they will be dragged and prevented from him (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam)), and I will say, ‘My Companions?’ It will be said, ‘You do not know what they invented (perpetrated in terms of sins) after you.

“People from my Companions will be rejected (or turned back). In it are jugs (which in quantity) are like the stars of the sky.” (Bukhari and Muslim)Īnas ibn Maalik Radiallahu Anhu reported that Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam said, “The size of my Haudh (Lake) is as the distance between Ailah and San’ aah from Yemen. Whoever drinks from it will be quenched, and will never thereafter be thirsty and whoever is driven away from it will never be quenched again.” (Related by Abu A!-Qaasirn At Tabaraanee).Īnas ibn Maalik Radiallahu Anhu related that Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam said, “It is whiter than milk, colder than ice (or snow), sweeter than honey, and it has a sweeter fragrance than musk. Rasulullah Salallahu Alaihi Wasallam said,

Ubai ibn Ka’ab Radiallahu Anhu related that Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam mentioned the Haudh (Lake), upon which Ubai Ibn Ka’ab Radiallahu Anhu said, “O Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam), what is the Haudh?” “Whoever drinks from the Haudh (Lake) will be quenched, and will never thereafter be thirsty and whoever is forbidden from drinking it is forbidden from ever being quenched again.” The Narration Of Ubai ibn Ka’ab Al-Ansaaree Radiallahu Anhu: Narrations about the Haudh have been related from a large number of Companions (Radiallahu Anhum)
